It actually came down quite slowly. It was good that it simply fell on the front yard. Next week I'll borrow Tamminga's chain saw and cut it up for firewood.I had never seen wind like that before. Pretty crazy. I-40 was closed for a chunk of time.
that's pretty insane! glad to see that no person or house was injured by that tree! speaking of downed trees, the old poplar tree behind my parents house got cut down. that was one huge tree, and now there is one big empty space there.
